Holds & Inter-Library Loans

Holds – Holds can be placed on any of the books, magazines, talking books, videos, DVD’s or music CD’s which are on loan or at another branch. These items will then be delivered to your nominated branch free of charge.

Holds can be made in person, over the phone or through the internet.

Libraries Victoria OneCard – One Card also means that you can use your Myli library card at any other participating Libraries Victoria library. You no longer need multiple membership cards for all the different member libraries. There are 24 libraries that are part of the One Card giving you access to nearly 3 million items in your library catalogue to request. The items can be placed on hold and delivered to your choice of library branch for collection. Please note that from 13 October 2022, this service is currently paused. Learn more on our News Page

Inter-Library Loans – Require a book that isn’t in the Myli library collection? Isn’t part of the Libraries Victoria OneCard? Perhaps we can get it in from another library or will consider purchasing it. For further information or if you require an inter-library loan, please contact your nearest library branch. (Fees apply for Inter-Library Loans).

Purchasing items – Do you have a suggestion for a book that you would like to see on Myli’s shelves? You can submit a purchase request or select titles on The Book Place for purchase consideration.
