Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

Myli – My Community Library Ltd is governed by the Library Board of Directors. Our Community Advisory Committee (CAC) are a sub-committee of the Myli Board and play an important role in connecting Myli with the broader community.

The CAC offers valuable insights from community members and library users about our services, helping us identify opportunities to enhance library programs and ensure they remain accessible and relevant to everyone.

The CAC brings diverse viewpoints to the table, fostering positive relationships that keep our libraries responsive to community needs. They help share updates about new programs, events, and services, ensuring that the community stays well-informed. Additionally, members contribute through discussions and consultations, offering valuable input to help address community needs, share ideas, and support the continuous improvement of library services.

In the 2024–25 Financial Year, the CAC met five times to provide input on key strategic initiatives. These included consultations on the 2025–2029 Library Plan community survey, Myli’s 20 Year Strategy, and input into Myli’s Priority Events for 2025. The CAC also met with the Myli Board to explore how their relationship can continue to evolve and ensure the CAC’s community perspective is brought into Myli’s strategy and decision making.

The CAC met once in person at the Annual General Meeting, with the other four meetings taking place online.
