Introduction to Home Preserving @ Warragul Library

Overview
Come along as Helen, local closet preserver, gives an introduction session on equipment and varying methods used in preserving foods. She will cover topics such as how to bottle fruit in a boiling water bath (e.g. the Fowlers Vacola method), pickling, making jam, and dehydrating, as well as a couple of ways to creatively use up the waste with vinegar and ferments.
This session will also include some examples and favourite recipes to get you started.
