Wing Threads – ‘A Shorebird Flying Adventure’ at the Warragul Library!

September 1 @ 12:00 am - November 1 @ 12:00 am

REGISTER INTEREST | Milly drops into the Warragul library as she follows our shorebirds on migration around Australia!

The event will likely be in September or early October, but because of the nature of Milly’s travels, the date for this visit can’t be confirmed until one or two weeks before the event.

Please register a ticket to express interest in the event and to receive an email once the date has been confirmed. If registering, please keep an eye on your inbox, including the spam folder, so as not to miss out.

Become a part of Milly’s Wing Threads journey as she stops by the Warragul Library on her tour flying approximately 20,000 KM around Australia in a microlight. With 90 planned stops between May and November, Milly will be spreading the message of just how amazing and awe-inspiring shorebirds are!

As a part of the session Milly will be reading her book ‘A Shorebird Flying Adventure,’ allowing listeners to learn about shorebird migration, and the important message of how and why we should be protecting shorebirds on their journey. With information about their wetland habitats, breeding grounds and the birds themselves, the session helps put their migration into a global context in an accessible and kid friendly way!

A Shorebird Flying adventure is aimed at mid-primary school students, and can be used to fulfill Australian Curriculum objectives in science, geography and English.
