Our Friends of the Library groups are made up of dedicated volunteers who put in a huge amount of effort to provide us with incredible programs and help us expand our collection. New Friends are always welcome! Below are the current Friends of the Library groups that are supporting Myli branches:
If your local library doesn’t have a Friends group, reach out to your branch to learn how you can start one!
The Friends of the Drouin Library is a newly formed group. They welcome anyone interested in supporting their local library.
Meetings: Held once every three months.
Joining Fee: There is no joining fee!
Ongoing Activities: FODL run an ongoing book sale.

The Friends of the Inverloch Library (FOIL) is an established group that regularly help fund large scale events for the library, such as Author Talks.
How to Join: FOIL has a dedicated station inside Inverloch Library, complete with membership forms and a mailbox. To join, fill out a form and include payment.
Meetings: FOIL meets once a month.
Ongoing Activities: FOIL hosts regular author talks and community events throughout the year, alongside ongoing book and bookmark sales.

The Friends of the Corner Inlet Library (FOCIL) is an established group that have greatly contributed to library resources over the past couple of years. Recently, they have helped expand the Myli DVD Collection, as well as donating a Sewing Machine and a Spot Cleaner to Myli’s Library of Things.
Meetings: The Committee doesn’t follow a specific meeting schedule and instead meets as required.
Ongoing Activities: FOCIL host bi-annual book sales in January and July at the Foster War Memorial Arts Centre.

The Friends of the Mirboo North Library are an established group that have greatly contributed to library resources over the past couple of years. Recently, they have helped created a cinema set up for Mirboo North’s movie sessions, donating a large flat-screen TV, wireless headphones and block out curtains.

Meetings: FOMNL meets every second month.
Ongoing Activities: Twice a year, FOMNL operates the local op shop, with all funds raised during the week going directly to support the group.
