Big Summer Read 2025-26

Big Summer Read 2025-26

Get Ready for the BIG Summer Read 2025/26!

Summer is here, and that means it’s time for the BIG Summer Read 2025/26. The program begins on 1 December 2025. This is the perfect opportunity for children and teens to discover great books, earn fun rewards, and go into the draw to win exciting prizes.

What is the BIG Summer Read?

The BIG Summer Read is a statewide summer reading challenge running across Victorian public libraries. The program encourages young people to keep reading throughout the school holidays so their reading skills stay strong. Whether it is a picture book, a novel, a graphic novel, or an audiobook, all reading counts.

Thanks to Public Libraries Victoria, the BIG Summer Read helps ensure that every young reader has access to quality resources and support during the summer break.

How to Join

Sign up online or visit your local library from 1 December 2025 to register for the challenge. Once registered, you can begin tracking your reading, collecting rewards, and enjoying a summer filled with stories.
