This National Volunteer Week, we are taking the opportunity to recognise and thank the people who generously give their time, care and support to Myli and our communities.
National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering, with this year’s theme, Connecting Communities, recognising the important role volunteers play in bringing people together.
At Myli, volunteers contribute in many different ways. Whether supporting Home Library Service deliveries, fundraising through Friends of the Library groups, advocating through our Community Advisory Committees (CAC), or sharing their time and skills in other ways, every contribution helps strengthen connection within our communities.
Many of the moments that shape a positive library experience happen quietly and behind the scenes. A friendly conversation, helping someone access a service, delivering books to someone unable to visit a branch, or sharing ideas that help shape the future of our organisation all have an impact.
Volunteers play an important role in helping us build connected, inclusive and resilient communities, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, knowledge and care they share.
