The September school holidays are coming up, and Myli has plenty of fun and free activities planned across the two-week break. Across our four shires, families and young people can enjoy a wide range of school holiday activities, along with special events celebrating Youth Month.
Youth Month is a celebration of young people, with events designed to give them opportunities to connect, get creative and try something new.
Highlights from across our libraries include tabletop role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons at Warragul and Drouin libraries, presented by Warragul Area Tabletop Society. In Bass Coast, Phillip Island Library will run two sessions of Mr T’s Mathematical Marvels, featuring fun and interactive maths games. In Cardinia Shire, Alex the Magician, a grand finalist from Australia’s Got Talent, will be performing at Pakenham Library, while Mel the Magician will bring the magic to Emerald Library. In South Gippsland, family and friends can go head-to-head in a Mario Kart Tournament at Korumburra Library.
These are only a few of the activities on offer, with plenty more happening across our libraries. You can find the full list of school holiday events at myli.au/holidays.
There are plenty of other ways to stay entertained during the holidays too. Browse our range of books, DVDs and other items, or explore our Library of Things collection. At participating Bass Coast libraries, you can even borrow surfboards or stand-up paddle boards for a day out with family or friends.
And if you’re staying home or heading away, our digital library is always open. Myli members can access eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, movies and more using their membership card, a device and an internet connection. Explore our digital library at myli.au/eresources.
