 What is National Science Week?

What’s on at Myli?

  • Monday 12 August

    STEM Zone Activities – Drouin Library (4pm – 5pm)

Participants will investigate what species survival means from a number of different perspectives. They will perform an experiment investigating animal adaptations and how changes in the environment can influence food sources. They will learn about the importance of insects through our creepy crawly touch tank, find the best way to rehabilitate an environment with an interactive display as well as investigate the ways in which we can monitor the health of animals. They will also look at what happens to a snake bite victim and the first aid used to help the patient survive. This program is a National Science Week event, presented with the support of the Inspiring Victoria program.

    Science Week Creations – Leongatha Library (4pm – 5pm)

Join us at Leongatha Library to celebrate Science Week 2024! This year’s theme is Species Survival – More than just sustainability. Choose an Aussie animal to decorate from our wooden creature collection, learn about what that creature needs to survive, and create a mini habitat for them to enjoy.
