National Simultaneous Storytime is one of Australia’s most-loved annual reading events, bringing together children, families, libraries, schools and early learning centres to share the same story at the same time.
This year’s book is Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, illustrated by Jake Minton. The story follows Luna Roo and her friends as they chase their football dreams across the outback in an energetic tale about teamwork, courage and believing in yourself.
Our libraries are excited to be taking part, with special storytime sessions happening across our branches. Our team will also be out and about visiting early years centres, kinders and schools in the community to share the story and celebrate the joy of reading.
National Simultaneous Storytime is a wonderful reminder of the important role stories play in sparking imagination, building literacy and bringing people together.
