Looking for somewhere welcoming to spend your Friday evening? Libraries After Dark at Pakenham Library offers a place to connect, try something new or simply enjoy time in your local library after hours.
Pakenham Library is open until 9pm every Friday, with Libraries After Dark bringing a changing program of free activities, workshops and events to the library.
Whether you enjoy craft, music, cooking, growing your own food or learning more about health and wellbeing, there’s a wide range of events to choose from. Grab a cuppa, meet like-minded people and spend time in a warm and welcoming space.
You’re also welcome to simply use the library during Libraries After Dark. Browse the shelves, find a comfortable spot or spend some time in the space. There’s no need to take part in an activity.
Libraries After Dark is a statewide initiative coordinated by Public Libraries Victoria and supported by the Victorian Government.
The program supports participating libraries to extend their opening hours and provide free, accessible evening activities, creating welcoming alternatives for people looking for places to connect and spend time in their community after hours.
Pakenham Library is proud to continue participating in Libraries After Dark as part of the 2026–2028 program.
Pakenham Library is located at the corner of John & Henry Street, Pakenham VIC 3810.
