LOTE4Kids is a fun and engaging online resource where kids can enjoy picture books in Languages Other Than English – including Auslan, Spanish, Mandarin, Italian, Punjabi, Afrikaans and more. With over 4,500 digital books in 75+ languages (and growing!), it’s a great way to explore new languages or enjoy stories in your family’s home language.

Each title can be enjoyed in the original language, in English, as a bilingual version, or even as a flip book – making it easy for kids to listen, learn and follow along at their own pace. You’ll also find fun activities like colouring sheets, spot the difference and word searches to go along with the stories.

Accessible from home or in the library, LOTE4Kids is perfect for families looking to read, learn and connect through language. LOTE4Kids is available to access via a web browser or through the LOTE4Kids app, which you can download from the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android).

How to access LOTE4Kids – 

To log into your account, you will first need to search for ‘Myli’ in the “Find your library or school’ tab. Once you’ve selected ‘Myli,’ you will be prompted to sign in with your library card number.
