Pall

It’s a cloak.

Heavy, dark with soft hues.

Holding my contours and drawing me in.

At night I hold my own hand.

White Woman’s Waterhole

The waterhole is empty,

green circles

the middles’ muddy moisture.

Blanched logs arch

a story underneath.

Long-time deep.

Forests reflects.

Scotch thistles scratch,

blur edges

amongst the yellow stalks

of bulrushes.

Littered debris on cracked mud.

Ambush

for a figurehead!
