All West Gippsland Libraries branches and Mobile Libraries will close on Tuesday 17th March (at the usual branch closing times) until further notice, to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 within our communities and relieve the potential burden on the public health services. 24 hour access at Foster will be suspended at this time. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued understanding and support.
During this time, all borrowing of physical loans will be suspended.
If you have items due for return within this period, your due date will automatically be extended until 1st July 2020. You are not able to return items to the branch external chutes or drop-off/pick-up locations. Remember we don’t charge overdue fines and you can renew items online if you are able. You can also contact your local branch directly by phone for assistance.
Any current holds on items will not be available to pick-up at the library or any drop-off/pick-up locations or 24 hour access locations until the library branches reopen.
As of Tuesday 17th March, all upcoming Library programs, events and outreach services have been cancelled or postponed until further notice.
Stay tuned, our team are working on producing a Baby Rhyme or Story Time session to stream online.
All our digital resources continue to be available to library members while the library branches are closed. We have a wide range of ebooks, eaudiobooks, emagazines, digital newspapers, kid’s activities, kid’s reading resources, streaming movies and documentaries. Our team are working on adding new e-resources.
You can get access to our digital library online, anytime or download our app.
If you need assistance with registering or using the apps, please contact your local branch.
Information about plans to reopen or any other changes that arise will be published on our website, in our e-newsletters and on our social media channels.
