Meredith Costain grew up on a dairy farm on the Koo Wee Rup swamp in West Gippsland, Victoria. She preferred reading books and writing stories and poems to milking cows! Her works include picture books through to poetry and novels and non-fiction for young readers

Fishy Stories – Fishy Creek’s Children’s Literature Day is an annual festival featuring children’s authors, illustrators, artists, workshops and performances. It helps to cultivate a love, interest and engagement with words, literature, art, music and performance.
