Remembrance Day is an opportunity to remember the brave service people who were willing to go into battle for their country.
Today Jo Mackenzie uses her background as an interviewer and reporter for the ABC and SBS networks to bring us the story of Bruce Crowl, a Naval veteran and frequent library user. This is his story of being a young man aboard the “lucky ship” HMAS Australia.
The filming of this Remembrance/Armistice Day video was created in partnership by West Gippsland Libraries and the Foster RSL. Thanks to Janne Ramondo and Carole Williams from the RSL, Jo McKenzie and Bruce and Kate Crowl for giving their time to create the interview.
