The new Waterline Community Library, opening on Monday 16th March 2020 at 8.30am, is the first new development for the Waterline Community.

  • The Waterline Community Library is located in Grantville at the Grantville Transactional Centre
  • A PTV bus service operates between the Waterline area and Grantville. For tickets and details please visit: https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au
  • Carpark available at the Grantville Transactional Centre
Opening Hours

The Waterline Library will be open the same times the Transaction Centre is open. These times are:

Monday – 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
Tuesday – 8.30 am to 6 pm (3 pm to 6 pm staffed by librarian)
Wednesday – 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
Thursday – 9 am to 4 pm (10 am to 1 pm staffed by librarian)
Friday – 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
Saturday – 10 am to 12 noon (staffed by librarian)

A librarian will be available on site full time during the first three weeks that the Library is open to sign up new members and assist members to use the new services.

Programs
  • 2 to 3 story time sessions per week Bass Valley Children’s Centre
  • 1 session per week during term Bass Valley Primary School
  • 1 to 2 sessions monthly Bass Valley Community Centre
  • Author talks – annual calendar program to be developed in consultation with members interests
  • Special interest programs – annual calendar program to be developed in consultation with members interests
  • Tech talks and social seniors on demand
Drop-off & Pick-up Locations

From Tuesday 10th March, 2020 new drop-off and pick-up locations in Corinella and Coronet Bay will be available for West Gippsland Library members. Place holds on items online or at a Library and have them sent to a pick-up location that’s convenient for you. Once your loan is on its way, we’ll notify you via your preferred contact method with an sms or email. Loans are delivered twice, each week. Drop-off and pick-up locations also accept loans you’re ready to return – just drop them off during opening hours.

South Coast Mobile Library

The retirment of the South Coast Mobile Library is part of West Gippsland Libraries’ commitment to adapt to the changing needs of the community. We would like to assure you that our focus is to improve library services for all residents in the region.

The South Coast Mobile Library will complete last visits to locations as follows:

  • Coronet Bay – Tuesday, 10th March 2020
  • Corinella – Wednesday, 11 March 2020
  • Grantville – Thursday, 12 March 2020
  • Kilcunda – Thursday, 12 March 2020
San Remo service will continue:
  • Tuesdays 1.30pm-6.00pm
  • Wednesdays 9:30am-12:15pm
