Myli – My Community Library offers a Home Library Service that enables our volunteers and staff to build and maintain connections with our community members.
We offer delivery of library materials to people who may be physically unable to visit their library due to illness, injury or who may be caring for someone else. We keep an open mind about why you may need and enjoy the service.
To benefit from this service, recipients must be a Myli Member and must live in the Bass Coast Shire, Baw Baw Shire, Cardinia Shire or the South Gippsland Shire.
Register your interest and we’ll check for an available volunteer within your community. If there’s an available volunteer, you’ll be matched up for a friendly and personalised service. Our team will then select items for you to borrow from the library. We’ll contact you to arrange the delivery of these items and the pick up of any materials you’ve finished using. The service can be offered as a temporary or a long-term solution.
As a Home Library Service participant, you can receive books from our wide selection, including large print and standard print. You will also have access to our wide range of magazines, DVDs, audio-books and our wide range of e-resources including e-audiobooks, e-books, e-magazines and many accessible online programs and events.
To select your items, our Home Library Service volunteers will talk to you about:
