Author Talk: Anna Snoekstra and Eliza Henry-Jones at Warragul Library

Join Anna Snoekstra (Out of Breath) and Eliza Henry-Jones (Salt and Skin) as they discuss how they approach their creative practice while exploring the magnitude of women’s voice, the effects of landscape on the psyche, magic and more set in their new psychological thrillers. This conversation is a must for both readers and writers alike.

Out of Breath is an electrifying and atmospheric nail-bitingly tense psychological thriller that takes its readers deep into the heart of a seemingly idyllic intentional community – that proves to be anything but… while Salt and Skin is a haunting and evocative mystery set on a remote Scottish island about a family trying to make a home for themselves on a collection of harsh and haunted Scottish islands… and then they meet the wild foundling, Theo.

About the authors

Eliza Henry-Jones is an author, freelance writer, PhD candidate and flower farmer. Her previous novels have been listed for multiple literary awards including the ABIA, NSW Premier’s Literary Awards and QLD Literary Awards. Her work has also been published widely, appearing in place such as The Guardian, Country Style, The Big Issue, and The Age.

Anna Snoekstra is the author of Only Daughter, Little Secrets and The Spite Game. Her novels have been published in over twenty countries and sixteen languages. She has written for The Guardian, Meanjin, Griffith Review, Lindsay, LitHub and The Saturday Paper.
