Community Training – My Health Record at Leongatha Library

Overview
Learn how you and the people you care for can have better health experiences by actively using My Health Record.

When your digital health record is set up you can direct your health providers to refer to all information about conditions, diagnostic results, medication, immunisations, vaccinations and your health notes to give you better health care.

West Gippsland Libraries staff are trained to help you understand My Health Record and assist you to activate your record, or be a nominated representative for a person you care for.

The session will include:

  • Background information
  • What records are held, how records get on to the system, who can access them, and how you control access, and how you can be notified when records are being accessed by health professionals or others.
  • Benefits and risks associated with My Health Record
  • How My Health Record is currently being used
  • How you can use My Health Record for better health outcomes
  • A step by step guide to setting up My Health Record for yourself
  • A guide to being a nominated representative, to manage the health records of a person you care for

Sessions are free.

Sessions are subject to COVID restrictions and directions at the time of the event.

Please telephone the library as soon as you know you will need to cancel your ticket, to make your ticket available for others.

If the event has all tickets booked, please register for the waiting list and you will be notified if a ticket becomes available, or notified of future sessions planned.
