Warragul Library certainly was the place to be during the school holidays with a range of events to keep the kids entertained.
Kids Dance with Industry Studios
We partnered with Industry Studios for two Introduction to Hip Hop dance sessions. Teacher Natasha taught the participants simple dance moves and showed us how dance can build confidence and bring joy while keeping fit and having fun!
Some of the patron feedback from the event was;
- It was so awesome to have kids making noise and bopping around the library!
- This was a great event! Natasha was so supportive and encouraging and was more than happy to give extra time and attention.
Macramé Plant Hanger workshop
Check out these plant hangers made by the clever kids who attended our hanger workshop. Guided by team member Kellie, participants learnt simple macramé techniques and decorated their own recycled pot (with a cute little succulent included).
Winter Wonderland Craft-Fes
The children spent the afternoon creating their own Winter Wonderland with team member Jenny! It was lovely to be inside the warm library, handmaking snowflakes from paper, glitter and glue.
Damo Music For Kids
Melbourne singer, songwriter and children’s entertainer Damo was a huge hit during a special StoryTime session. Children and their grown-ups moved and grooved along with Damo and his guitar and enjoyed stories. During the holidays, Damo visited Warragul, Inverloch, Korumubrra and Wonthaggi and performed for around 200 children and their families.
Damo is pictured with team member Rochelle during his tour of Myli Libraries.
