Myli Stories and Craft at the Corinella Community Centre

Join Rowanne from Myli Libraries at the Corinella Community Centre for a craft and story session. Rowanne will read a beautiful new picture book, ‘Australia From Dawn To Dusk’. We’ll finish the session off with a craft activity to celebrate the magnificent country we live in.

This event is suitable for all ages, and all community members are welcome to attend.

About the Book –

Follow the sun and wake up to the sound of kookaburras laughing on Arakwal Country (Byron Bay), surf giant tubes with a crowd of noisy cockatoos on Yugambeh Country (Surfer’s Paradise), watch red-tailed black cockatoos fly over Anangu Country (Uluru) and go to sleep under the stars with Quokkas on Whadjuk Noongar Country (Rottnest Island).

Welcome to Australia as you’ve never seen it before: a dreamy pastel-popping ode to the significant places and animals on the land we all call home, from emerging artist Brentos.

Brentos is an illustrator, painter and designer based in Sydney. He finds joy in watching birds and wildlife play and translating their unique quirks through his pastel colours and linework. The natural world, humour, surf culture and long summers also play a big influence on Brentos’s illustrations, which aim to capture a playful spirit while shining a light on the importance of loving and protecting Australia’s native wildlife.

Tickets are not required for this event and walk-ins are warmly welcomed. If you would like to receive an email reminder for this event, please register for a ticket.
