We’re delighted to introduce our new Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Lewis GAICD.
With more than 15 years of leadership experience across Victoria’s library, education, entrepreneurial and not-for-profit sectors, Daniel is passionate about building organisations that put people and innovation at their heart. He has led major digital improvement and innovation initiatives with State Library Victoria and Casey Cardinia Libraries, bringing together technology, creativity and collaboration to deliver lasting impact for communities.
Daniel is recognised for his inclusive leadership style and his ability to inspire teams to think boldly, work with purpose and have fun along the way. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), he is committed to strong governance, transparency and curiosity as the foundations of great leadership and believes progress happens when people feel trusted to experiment and grow.
Outside of work, Daniel is an active member of his children’s school council and a lifelong board game enthusiast with a curated collection of over 200 games and RPGs. When not strategising or storytelling, he can usually be found perfecting his home-roasted coffee beans.
Daniel’s leadership philosophy is simple: create space for ideas, nurture people, and never forget to enjoy the process. We’re confident this approach will deepen our connection with the communities we serve and help us continue to evolve with their needs.
