We’re excited to share that Myli – My Community Library has teamed up with Wonthaggi Hospital to help bring comfort, connection and a little escape through reading.
As part of this new partnership, Myli is donating gently used books for patients and visitors to enjoy during their hospital stay or visit. These books are free to take home and keep, and each one includes a special sticker to recognise Myli’s contribution.
You’ll now find a selection of second-hand books available throughout the hospital, including the Better at Home Day Centre. Plus, thanks to the incredible support of hospital volunteers, a trolley of books is making its way to the wards, bringing reading material directly to patients’ bedsides.
We’d like to say a big thank you to the volunteers who help deliver the books. Their care and time help create a warm and welcoming experience for patients, and we’re grateful to be working alongside them.
This is a simple way Myli and Bass Coast Health can support the local community and make time in hospital a little more comfortable.
