National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
NRW runs from 27 May to 3 June, and the theme for 2022 is Be Brave, Make Change. Change begins with brave actions in your daily life – where you live, work, play and socialise. If you would like to learn more about NRW and its history, please visit the Reconciliation Australia website to find articles, action plans and resources.
During NRW we’ll have displays in our library branches with books and resources for patrons to borrow. We’ll be reading themed books during StoryTime and creating some indigenous themed crafts. You can also visit Reconciliation Australia to download your own resources, including social media tiles, Zoom backgrounds and colouring pages, or follow them on Facebook.
