Who can enter:
If you’re between 12 and 25 years old, and a member with Myli you can take part in the Tiny Art Expo.

Art Rules:
Your artwork should be about “Tiny Art.” It should be no bigger than a 10x10cm square. You can use any kind of art materials you like.

How to Enter:
Fill in a registration form at a Cardinia branch of Myli. Submit your artwork to participating libraries by close of business on October 31, 2023 (Cardinia Mobile Library, Emerald Library or Pakenham Library). You must tell staff which branch you are entering for. You can only enter one artwork per person. It is preferred if you submit your artwork at the branch you are entering for.
Digital artworks can be emailed to connect@myli.org.au before 9pm on October 31, 2023.
A limited number of 10cm canvases will be available for entrants, one per person, while supplies last. Collection of these should take place at the point of registration.

Who Can Win:
People who work at the libraries and their close family members can’t win the prize. Close family means spouse, ex-spouse, defacto spouse, child or stepchild, grandchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister or first cousin. All other people who meet the entry criteria for the expo will be eligible to win.

Voter’s Choice:
Artworks will be displayed at the Cardinia branches from November 2-16. Public voting for prizes for the Tiny Art Expo event will take place at this time at participating library locations. Event attendees aged 12-25 years will be invited to vote for their favorite artworks based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the theme. Each voter can choose 3 of their favourite artworks and vote only once. The artwork with the most votes at each library wins the major prize. The one with the second most votes wins 2nd place, and the third one wins 3rd place. If an artwork belonging to a Myli family member is voted in the top three places, the prize will be awarded to the artwork with next highest votes. Voting will close on November 16 and votes will be tallied before close of business November 20.

Prizes:
Three (3) major prizes will be awarded, each consisting of a $75 Visa gift card (one at each Cardinia branch).
Three (3) 2nd place prizes will be awarded, art colouring books.
Three (3) 3rd place prizes will be awarded, art colouring books.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Winner Notification:
Winners will be notified via the contact information provided at the time of submission.
Winners must respond to the notification within seven (7) days to claim their prize. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the prize and another winner will be selected. The prize will be awarded to the person named in the entry, proof of identity or membership may be requested.

Prize Collection:
The prize must be collected from a nominated library branch. Any winner under 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. The winner and all travelling companions are responsible for their own transport arrangements to the nominated branch to collect the prize.

Ownership and Rights:
Participants retain ownership of their submitted artwork. By entering the competition, participants grant permission for their artwork to be displayed at the Tiny Art Expo event and for promotional purposes related to the event. Participants are responsible for collecting artwork within 2 weeks of the winners being announced. Any art not collected will be disposed of.

Liability:
Participants are responsible for ensuring that their artwork is their original creation and does not infringe upon any third-party rights. The organiser and participating libraries are not responsible for any loss or damage to submitted artworks. We cannot be held responsible for any harm or issues that might arise due to your participation in the competition, including any results related to the prize.

Privacy:
Personal information collected during the submission process will be used solely for the purpose of the competition and event organisation.

Termination or Modification:
The organiser reserves the right to modify, cancel, or terminate the competition in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Compliance:
By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions.
